Why did we kidnap Ronald?
01/02/2011Here are some reasons why we want answers from McDonald´s.
1. McDonald's hides the consistency of the fats they use. It is unclear, for example they use the fatty compounds known to cause addiction.
2. McDonald's uses meat that is produced from genetically modified feed (soy and corn)
70% of the world's soya is genetically modified (GMO). GMO soybeans and grain has been genetically manipulated to withstand pesticides, which kill all other vegetation in the fields. Biodiversity of broad areas is lost, and insect and animal life will change completely or dies. The new studies show that GM-fed cattle lose their fertility within a few generations. The patents of GMO-feed are in the hands of a few large patent companies, and farmers are forced to buy an annual permit to use the patent. Who then owns our food?
3. McDonald's uses heavily processed and violentlyhomogenized milk.
Highly processed milk is junk food in liquid form. Processed, homogenized milk, not lactose, is causing lactose intolerance.
4. McDonald's uses plants that are produced using fossil fuels (such as fertilizers and pesticides).
It is estimated that 20-25% of the causes of climate change arises from the food chain (food production). Intensive agriculture relies heavily on fossil fuels, because of the fertilizers and pesticides are made of fossil fuels.Therefore, food price increases are directly proportional to the price of oil.
5. McDonald's uses monosodium glutamate, E621, and other flavor enhancers in its products.
Monosodium glutamate causes hyperactivity in children and nervous system disorders, which has long been known for a long time as "Chinese restaurant syndrome." Flavor enhancers enables the use of cheap and poor raw materials in foods because they add flavor artificially.
6. McDonald's does not disclose the amount of food its customers toss out to trash in tonnes per year.
The more prestigious food culturally is, the less it is thrown away. When at least 50% of the world's food is thrown away, more than a billion people live in hunger on a daily basis, and the number is growing all the time. Food production can not be increased much more in hectares, therefore, the only possibility is to add value to food and to reduce discards. Meanwhile, when a new appreciation of food is being taught, organic waste should be recycled for reuse or energy as efficiently as possible.
7. McDonald's hides the use of sweeteners.
They do not not tell if the sweeteners in their products are synthetic or natural. It does not respond to research results that shows some of the fats McDonald´s uses together with manufacturing methods cause addiction comparable to cocaine, even heroin.
8. McDonald's uses corn-based High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) products. HFCS is a hidden sugar, which is part of the Western obesity problem. It is the cheapest of any sweetener, and10 times sweeter than ordinary sugar. All the major fast-food chains in the United States have abandoned its use.
9. McDonald's uses beef that has produced with growth hormones.
Mass production of an animal in an unnatural way with growth hormones. Hormone residues in meat end up in humans, through the food chain, for example, through meat or through nature, for example, groundwater. Depending on the place of residence people are getting 60-180 grams of hormones and pharmaceutical residues in drinking water in a year. These residues can cause, for example, premature puberty, lowering of women's voice, and a variety of tumors.
10. McDonald's collaborates globally with slaughterhouses and fruit and vegetable farms that use cheap labor of illegal immigrants.
11. McDonald's uses meat that due to conditions in production had to be raised with antibiotics.
Meat obtained from a dietary antibiotic residues weaken the human immune system and increase the antibiotic-resistant to strains of bacteria, diseases begin to spread more and more from animals to humans, and vice versa. For example, swine flu, was born this way. Antibiotics are used because the living conditions of animals and animal density are contrary to natural conditions, which makes the animals sick and stressed.
12. McDonald's in no way to researches the diseases caused by their food supply. They do not look for their prevention or treatment. Half of Finland's national budget is earmarked for social welfare and health spending. The majority of this money is spent on deceases caused by nutrition. McDonald's should take social responsibility and conduct research in deceases related to their food supply.

mutta toki, kukaan ei paktoa syömään mäkkärissä mutta monet kärsivät sen takia.
Vaikka kyseessä olisikin McDonaldsin tapainen suuri korporaatio, ei se anna sille minkäänlaisia oikeuksia pimittää ihmisiltä tietoja, jotka kuuluisivat olla kuluttajien tiedossa. Tämä on asia, mitä ei voida ratkaista lapsellisella toteamuksella "no kuka käskee käydä mäkkärissä?"

Mielestäni olette tehneet rohkean mielenilmauksen. Se varmasti herättää meidät kaikki ajattelemaan. Minustakaan ruokaa ei arvosteta riittävästi meidän länsimaisessa yhteiskunnassamme. Olisi myös todella hyvä, jos elintarvikeyritysten biojätetilastot olisivat julkisesti saatavilla. Olen kuitenkin rehellinen ihminen ja pidän siitä kun asiat kerrotaan oikein. Siitä syystä minua ärsyttää tekstissä paljon näkyvä tunteen varassa roikkuva viherpiiperrys, jolla ei ole minkäännäköistä tieteellistä pohjaa.
Väkivaltaisesti homogenoitu?
Näin maitoa paljon kuluttavana suomalaisena haluaisin kysyä, että mitäköhän ihmettä mahtaa olla on väkivaltaisesti homogenoitu maito? Näin tässä selvennykseksi, homogenointi siis tarkoittaa maidon rasvan pilkkomista, joka johtaa siihen että kerma ei nouse maidon pinnalle. En ymmärrä miten sana "väkivaltainen" voidaan liittää tähän yhteyteen? Homogenoinnilla ei todellakaan ole mitään terveysvaikutuksia. Siitä on hyötyä maidon prosessoinnissa. En keksi tälle järjettömälle termille muuta järkevää perustelua kuin törkeän piilorinnastuksen seksuaalivähemmistöihin.
Laktoosi-intoleranssi prosessoidusta maidosta?
Haluaisinpa myös tietää mistä olette saaneet sellaisen käsityksen, että laktoosi-intoleranssi johtuu prosessoidusta maidosta? Ette esitä asialle minkäänlaisia perusteluja, ja koko väite on muutenkin naurettava. Joiltain ihmisiltä kyky pilkkoa laktoosia katoaa aikuisiässä. Maalaisjärjelläkin ajateltuna prosessoimaton maito ei poista ongelmaa, sillä siinä on yhtälailla laktoosia. Ainoa joka sen tekee, on pidemmälle prosessoitu maito, jossa laktoosi on hajotettu pienemmiksi sokereiksi (mm. Hyla ja Into). Prosessoimattomassa maidossa ei ole juurikaan etuja prosessoituun nähden lukuunottamatta ehkä parempaa makua. Sillä on ainoastaan lyhyempi säilymisaika sekä korkeampi rasvapitoisuus. Näinollen prosessoimattoman maidon käyttö johtaisi mm. ylipainon, sekä toisen tyypin diabeteksen lisääntymiseen. Näin huomautukseksi vielä, maidon pidempi säilymisaika saadaan aikaan tappamalla bakteereja korkeissa lämpötiloissa, ei lisäämällä ylimääräisiä "myrkkyjä". Maitoon ei lisätä juuri muuta kuin D-vitamiinia, jonka puute saattaa johtaa luustosairauksiin. Luulenpa, että taka-ajatuksenanne on lehmän maidon eettisyys? Sen voi kyllä mielestäni ilmaista pätevämmilläkin perusteilla.
Natriumglutamaattiko yliaktiivisuutta aiheuttava myrkky?
Tämähän on jännä aine tämä natriumglutamaatti. Atriankaltaisetkin suuryritykset ovat huomanneet mukavan markkinaraon lisäämällä tekstin kinkkusiivulaatikoihin. Todellisuudessa tätä "kemiallista lisäainetta" löytyy kaikista ruoista jo luonnollisesti, erityisesti mm. lihasta, maidosta, sienistä ja tomaateista. Natriumglutamaattia käytetään yksinkertaisesti siksi, että se saa ruoan maistumaan paremmalta. Aineen väitetyistä haittavaikutuksista on toki puhuttu paljon, mutta ne on useiden tutkimusten tuloksena kumottu. Kattavin FASEBin, eli Yhdysvaltain kokeellisen biologian yhdistysten liiton tuottama tutkimus päätyi tulokseen, että aineen suositusetenmukaisella käytöllä ei ole oireita, lukuunottamatta harvoja, aineelle yliherkkiä ihmisiä.

Huhhuh, kyllähän epäkohtia vielä riittää, mutta en jaksa enää näin yötävasten niitä enää kommentoida. Toivoisin teidän oikeasti kiinnittävän huomiota lähteidenne luotettavuuteen. On huolestuttavaa, että jopa teidänlaisenne suuri joukko ihmisiä on näin epätietoisia syömästään ruoasta. Ihan oikeasti, kaikki mikä lukee netissä ei ole totta! Hieman lähdekritiikkiä, kiitos!
Mutta kuten sanoin jo alussa, olen ehdottomasti teidän puolellanne, kritiikistäni huolimatta. Itse en syö McDonald'sissa kuin harvoin, mutta kannattaisin silti terveellisempien tuotteiden tuomista valikoimiin. Se saattaisi jopa saada Suomen McDonald'sit tuottamaan voittoa. Tokihan siellä tarjoillaan jo salaatteja ja ruishampurilaisia, mikä on erittäin positiivista. Itse pidän pikaruokaloissa eniten pirtelöistä ja jäätelöistä, kun niissä ei ole ikäviä transrasvoja, vaan hyvää suomalaista maitoa!
